Classic and Elegant. Amberly and Ritch had a very classic and elegant wedding day. Deep reds decorated the Sleepy Ridge Lodge in Orem Utah. Beautiful glimmering lights shined through the leaves on the trees and through the organza drapes that lifted the ceiling. It was a simply a beautiful day with a beautiful couple.  If you have not seen it below, you have to notice the back of Amberly’s dress! It was simply stunning. Congrats Amberly and Ritch! Best wishes to you both.

I feel like every year, there is a strange few weeks where I cannot decided if it is still summer, or if fall has finally announced itself. Fall is my favorite season. I love the changing colors and the crisper morning air that makes me want to go for a long run (which is saying a lot because it takes a lot of build up and listening to “Eye of the Tiger” to get me motivated to run). You feel fresher as a new start as school years open up with new goals and classes. Fall makes me want to go out and buy a bundle of freshly sharpen pencils and reach my inner artist, chef, athlete, and all around champion. Oh if everyday could be a fall day….

One of my favorite joys and signs of the changing season is when the grocery stores start to pull out Halloween candy. This is not because I am a big sugar addict, because I am not. But for some reason I have a strange attraction to Candy Corn. I can not eat more than 10 of them in a sitting because they are so sweet, but I always seem to go back to them. This year I was happy to try a new variation of my old time favorite white, yellow, and orange friend…. The Carmel Apple Candy Corn! These delectable treats taste more like fall than their original counterpart. It is a good thing that my husband does not share the love of candy corn because that means this bag belongs to me.

I have been able to work with the wonderful Camilla Binks on a few weddings. Camilla and I traveled up to Midway, Utah to meet Cassie at the Zermatt Resort  for the wedding day preparations.  Cassie was cool, calm and relaxed as she got her hair and make-up done before we headed over to her and Brent’s home for the ceremony. Over the last few months, Cassie and her groom Brent had put some serious work into their darling Heber City home. They put in a brand new patio, stone pathway and outdoor fireplace to be the site of their wedding. It was stunning. Their wedding was catered by Tarahumara, which in my opinion might have the title as best Mexican food in Utah. Congratulations to Brent and Cassie. It was a privilege to be at your beautiful wedding!

Natalie and Jeremy are expecting their first and you can tell in an instant how excited they are to hold their new baby boy. They are due in a few weeks. I am sure the nervous and anxious energy is mixing all together. Jeremy already has plans to coach his sons soccer team and Natalie has been setting up the final things to welcome the baby home from the hospital. They are going to be spectacular parents!
