I started this blog as a place strictly for my photography images. However, in 2013 it has become my corner of the internet filled with the growing pains of a small business owner, stocked full of beautiful faces of my friends and clients, bride and grooms, and a little bit of my life and who I am.  Breanna McKendrick Photography has had a blessed year thanks to all of you and I truly hope you have enjoyed reading!

I sincerely hope each of you are having a wonderful Christmas with those you love and cherish!!! It is the time of season to reach out to others in service and love.  Fill this holiday with joyful memories and laughable tales!

From our house to yours, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I remember talking to Haley about what her dress looked like before we meet up for her bridal session. I knew  her dress was something special and unique. Something that no other bride could copy because it was exactly her! Well, DIY Bride thought so too!  They loved her bridal session as much as I did and wanted to have it featured on their blog!

It is thrilling and always an honor to see my beautiful clients featured on major national wedding blogs! I am convinced that I am a lucky photographer to have amazing and creative brides! Congrats again to this darling couple celebrating their first Christmas together as Mr. and Mrs.

I am so thrilled to bring you another one of my 2014 couples! Erica and Byron are two people that you just feel good to be around! It does not take a long time to figure that out how  genuine, sincere and kind these two are! I can only image the amazing miracles they will be able to achieve together!

The weather was teasing us on this cold Saturday. The weather reports had predicted a BLIZZARD. The two days this last week that I had shoots planned, the weather was suppose to be bad! So, in preparations, we had backup plans!

We were able to stay warm and shoot in the beautiful downtown Salt Lake City Library. There was a children’s choir singing in the lobby, students studying for finals, a us in the corners taking these wonderful engagements. I love shooting in this building with its beautiful architecture and WALLS of windows. This makes any photographer thrilled!

But when the blizzard that was predicted turned out to be just a few snow flurries, we headed outside to embrace the winter season. Erica and Byron were troopers as I made them snuggle, run, and kiss in the cold! Such good sports. I am so excited to see them again for their formal session and their upcoming wedding!

Winter is officially here! Mother nature decided that Utah was finally due to get some of its famous snow, and SNOW IT DID! Usually I try and reschedule shoots when the weather is bad, but Ashley and Jordan were up for the fun adventure of playing in the white powder.

I have loved getting to know Ashley and Jordan even more! You may recognize them from their wedding blog post from June of this year. (Happy 6 month anniversary you two!) After being in front of my camera 3 times now, these two were seasoned professionals. They know all the silly thing that I say and come to expect the goofy fun time we will have.

Ashley’s smile is infectious. She is charming and charismatic. Jordan is strong and confident, but has a sweet spot for his wife. It was  a treat to see their relationship become more beautiful with time. I think it really shows in these pictures.

As a kid, I remember being so excited and so NERVOUS to meet Santa Claus! I would run through the list of things I want to ask for about a million times in my head while in line at the mall to see Santa, but it always seemed that the second I sat down on his lap, everything went out the window. I am sure I looked like a stuttering 5 year old. But what can you expect. Meeting Santa Claus is bigger than meeting the President as a kid!

This year, I was able to help take some pictures of Santa Claus in action! Well, this may actually be my Uncle Joel, under special assignment by Santa Claus to help bring Christmas cheer during the Holidays. It is a busy holiday, but if you are looking for a Santa helper to show up to your Christmas parties, feel free to email me and I can get you in contact with Santa Joel.
