TWO YEARS! It has been two whole years since all of my family has been together in one place. With 2 parents, 5 siblings, 3 great brother/sister-in laws, and 6 nieces and nephews, spread out all over the western United States, it has been hard to pull ALL of us together in one Zip Code. However, with a little magic and a lot of planning, we all got to be together for some of the Holidays in Houston, Texas. We had to take advantage of the opportunity to do family portraits! Especially since the last ones we took were at MY WEDDING! So gathered everyone up, lined up the 16 outfits to see if they “coordinate”, planned times and a location, grabbed a tripod and we were good to go!
Fairchild Bridal Group, publishers of Modern Bride, asked 1000 Brides when they got engaged. 26% of them said between Thanksgiving and New Years! So that means New Years Eve is a perfect time to through an Engagement Party! Seeing how today is New Years Eve what better day than to share this party with you all today! This styled shoot was a collaboration of so many wonderful Utah vendors and was quite the celebratory shoot! We danced, laughed, and worked all afternoon long! The grand halls and marbled floor at Castle Park Events were stunning to be shooting in, perfect for any elegant and classic wedding! We were in a visual festival from the hand painted gold details on the cake, the unique design of the beautiful floral garlands, and the vintage accessories of each outfit! Not only was this shoot a huge success in planning, coordination, and fun- but it is featured today on Love+Wander blog!!!! I is always an honor to see my work featured on other wedding and inspiration blogs! Head on over and check it out! So without further ado, we would love to finish off the year with our 2013 Wedding Canvas Giveaway! I know we have already passed the 25th and Santa Claus already dropped off all the presents, but here in downtown SLC, the beautiful twinkling lights still stay on until new years! I really enjoy how the Christmas festive decorations linger just a little bit longer!
