Dear ten-year-old Breanna,

I know life seems very different from the eyes of a ten-year-old. You are probably busy with being a fourth grader, getting use to wearing jeans instead of those spandex stirrup leggings that you loved,  learning your lines for the school play of The Adventures of Lewis and Clark where you are Sacajawea.  After you get the part, you learn you have to hug a boy in the play…. in front of the whole class.  You are going to be a little embarrassed, but don’t worry. You will survive the beet-red blushing and it will become a small memory of being ten years old.

Life is going to be good. You have a creative streak in you that will become a fond source of happiness and validation.

I don’t know how I could be more thrilled to make this announcement! This years wedding giveaway contest has blown me away. There were so many fantastic couples that entered and shared with us a little of their story. With anticipation we randomly drew 5 semi-finalist. As each name appeared from our generator, I became more and more excited. When I emailed the semi-finalists asking for more information about their day, that excitement tripled. I got to see their facese and felt like if we all went to high school together, I think we would have made good friends and gotten into a healthy amount of trouble together. I found myself wanting to celebrate with each of them on their wedding day. Which made the decision to choose just one hard. Painfully hard. But I am thrilled to say that Krissi Cook and I have selected a winner for our 2014 Wedding Giveaway!

Utah is in THAT stage. The stage where all the snow has melted but few things have started to bloom. For the most part the trees are still bare and the ground is still brown. So what do you do when you go to take your engagements in this brown mess??  Sometimes it is just best to embrace it! Andrea and I had talked about various locations we could go to. I wasn’t feeling to inspired in my locations lately until I saw a photographer friend post about the reeds around Utah Lake.  I knew from a snapshot that I wanted to shoot there soon! Even though the nearby trees were not green yet, this place still look perfect! I sent Andrea a picture and fortunately she liked it!

Not another email to clog up my inbox. I know how you feel. I have to keep going though my inbox to make sure I don’t miss something important amongst all of the “stuff”.  I want this newsletter to have information in it that you WANT to hear. I am not going to send you daily or even weekly emails to bug and pester you.
