They worked together. She was a swim coach and he was a life guard. It is fair to say they weren’t even on each others radar until a mutual co-worker interfered with a plan that would ultimately end up in changing both of their lives. A little talk with Jeron and the co-worker had him convinced that Kelli, the cute swim coach, had a mega crush on him. And just like that, Kelli was on Jeron’s mind. And I don’t think she has been out of his thought ever since.
I have been friends with Kelli for a while. We grew up together in New Mexico so I have been able to see their relationship bloom through little hints that were on Facebook. I would see pictures of Kelli and Jeron together, going on dates, hanging out with Kelli’s identical twin and her new husband Austin. As the pictures became more frequent, I wonder to myself if Jeron would be the one to ask Kelli to be his partner in life and love.
The session was beautiful. We shot at the American Fork Boat Harbor. Kelli was the planner. She had outfit options for her and Jeron all set out. Jeron was the protector. I mean that literally. I didn’t expect there to be as many mosquitos as there were that evening, but he battled them off of Kelli in between poses and shoots. It was endearing to watch.
I love this light. Some of my very favorite pictures from the evening was right here. Kelli is a school teacher and wore her “teacher apple shirt” and paired it with a fun bright blue pencil skirt! I loved it. It is the little details that adds fun personality to a shoot.
Sometimes a picture is all the more beautiful in black and white. Like this one. Soft, beautiful, and classic. I love it.
